M104 iNstant sceNes: Sand Loading Facility

This is the fifth release in our iNstant sceNes series of easy to build scenic features. This locomotive sand loading facility is based on a number of home built towers on CSX but is similar to towers found around the country as early as the fifties. The kit contains a retired covered hopper with "Safety First It's Everybody's Business" on the side along with a warning to inform the yardmaster before reloading the hopper. Also included is a pair of concrete pilings and the cap to the compressor system molded in resin by Fine N-Scale Products, and wire representing the sand pipes. Armed with a pair of large wire cutters and a bottle of CA, most modelers can build this kit in less than half an hour.
