Ever
eaten a prepackaged salad? Chances are it travelled in one of these
chilled boxes. The reefer unit takes up the first two feet of the
container, leaving 46 feet of clear space for salad or potatoes.
There are two major variations of these containers. Some have full
panels around the reefer units. Some have open framing around the
reefer unit. Both are equally easy to model. The set comes with
two fully decorated injection molded container with
weight capturing bottoms. It also comes with a pair of cast resin
reefer units that can be user installed in about 20 minutes.
The reefer
unit is the same that many trucks use in over the road usage. Unlike
their 40' counterparts, these containers carry fuel and power
for their reefer units. If you look at the lower portion of the
nose mounted unit, you will see a fuel tank. These
containers carry the same kind of ISO style stacking frames at the
40 foot point. This makes it easy for them to stack on 40 foot or
20 foot containers as well as on top of another 48. The IBC (Inter
Box Connector) points are set so that they match up to the seagoing
standards. These
container models, like all of the deLuxe container line, are available
in pairs with 2 different road numbers.
