Santa Fe operated a train of 5 RoadRailer trailers hauling new automobiles on various corridors. The trailers were equipped with removable folding interior racks to stack the autos. The racks were then collapsed and consolidated into one trailer while the other four carried other cargo on the trip back. The red, yellow, and black bands wrap seamlessly around all 4 sides of the trailers. Note the unusual "pit-and-the-pendulum" version of the Santa Fe lettering that was applied to the prototypes at the factory. This special release includes the entire 5 trailer train with CouplerMate rail bogies factory mounted at both ends, and presented in a special matching 5-unit clear-cover case. | |
