| North American Container System is a pool of domestic containers shared between its member railroads, Burlington Northern & Santa Fe, Canadian National, CSX, Kansas City Southern, and Conrail. Presumably, CSX took Conrail's share when Big Blue was split between CSX and Norfolk Southern. Many NACS containers were built for their member roads, then transferred to the pool and re-lettered. | |
