Amtrak had the distinction of taking delivery of the 10,000th RoadRailer trailer built by Wabash National and it was delivered in this colorful paint scheme. This trailer is a DuraPlate design which differs from the PlateWall design by the lack of unevenly spaced ribs. This trailer was used in regular revenue service for Amtrak from coast to coast.

Each RoadRailer train requires a CouplerMate (deLuxe #18000, available separately) to connect them to the locomotives or other kinds of cars.
