This release is from our Liberty Squadron Series of the America's Honor Collection. This series features nose art and air force insignia from actual combat aircraft. Surprise Attack was a B-24M Libertor attached to the 308th Bomber Group in the 14th Air Force. For a time, this plane was painted black for night missions and the box car reflects that. The Apex roof walk, stirrups, and Ajax brakewheel on this model are etched brass.
